Summary: | According to CNN, a FOIA request by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) elicited Department of Defense (DOD) medical training videos in which live monkeys and goats were subjected to medical procedures designed to mimic situations of violence. The videos were used to educate and train DOD medical personnel. PRCM believes the videos show the military violating its own animal-welfare regulations, and has taken administrative steps to have the training regimen halted. | ||
