Federal Court Skeptical of CIA Bid for Secrecy

Vietnam-era Presidential Daily Briefs prepared by the CIA in August 1965 and August 1968 cannot be seen by the public because it would reveal the CIA's technique for briefing presidents even 40 years after the fact, the agency told a federal appeals court panel in a FOIA lawsuit over the decades-old briefs, the New York Sun reported.
Reporter who wrote story is in litigation with the CIA over documents the agency has not released under FOIA, according to a note at the end of the story.
