Summary: | Decades after reporting about FBI surveillance, including J. Edgar Hoover's well-known Counter Intelligence Program, Nat Hentoff of the Village Voice used FOIA to get his own FBI files. In them, he found columns he'd penned, protest petitions he had signed and even the names of the ghettos in Russian cities from which his late parents emigrated to the U.S. Another find: a report that he had attended a meeting of "radicals" in North Africa. Hentoff has never been to Africa. | ||
